Turned in...

Well it is done! I have fininshed my portfoilio and turned it in. It is a sigh of relief! But now I am nervous to see what the result will be. So now we have mock interviews coming up along with our portfolio show and Graduation. All exciting things. I have been doing some photo shoots and in my next blog hope to get some more photos up for all to see!

Stressed!!!!

The stress I am under right now is enough to make me sick and when I think about it I do get sick! I have just over a week to finish my portfolio and I still have a lot to do. I am still doing photo shoots through the weekend and then I have to print and mat. I also have to work on my digital portfolio. I just ordered my business cards today and resumes have yet to be printed. AGH!!!!!!!!

This is Belinda, Mao's daughter. She was a joy to work with. I loved to hear her laugh! I am going to work with her again in the next couple of weeks in a traditional Hmong dress. I can't wait for this.

Getting ready to gradutate...

I have made so much progress this week! I got a lot of my prints printed for the porfolio show and will be ready to mat on Tuesday. Also on Tuesday I will be able to get a photo shoot done and some more printing done. I need to get some more photo shoots scheduled and work on my photojournalism work but I am well on my way to GRADUATING YEA!!!!!!!!!!

My main subject!

Well to tell you a little more about my photography, I love to photograph people. Kids are the best becasue they hold nothing back! My main subject of course is my son, Justin. Like I said in my previous post he is about to turn 7 and for his birthday we got him a pool. These are some shots of him in his new pool.

Initial Blog

As you might can tell this is my first blog so let me introduce myself to those of you who may follow but not know that much about me. My name is Melissa Leonard.  I am a 28 year old wife and mother.  I have a son who is about to be 7 years old next month (we are going to have a spiderman party).  I am a photography student at CVCC who plans on graduating in July of this year.  I am a member of Oxford Baptist Church.  I believe strongly in christian and family values.  I have 2 dogs Sassy a jack russell and Suki a pitbull mix.  My hobbies include photography,  ancestry, and my family.
